Did this painting after remembering how the 6th grade girls at my school wanted to show how sad they were when Kurt Cobain died. So they put a bunch of black eyeliner around their eyes and wore their finest thrift shirts. Felt like it was very silly and terribly sad all at once. So many young music stars died during that generation. These days childhood idols just seem to self-destruct …..
